🍁We’ve experienced the last bit of warm Summer weather and have turned the corner into Fall- so now it’s time to get started on prepping your home. We’ve got 11 great home maintenance tips for you:

  1. Properly clean your lawn mower- This prevents rust & deterioration. Store it away for the warmer days of spring.

  2. Empty any hoses you have and make sure to turn off the outdoor water- This prevents any issues during the deep freeze of winter.

  3. Blow out your sprinkler lines- If you have a sprinkler system, it’s time to get your appointment booked to blow out the lines to prevent any issues or damage.

  4. Clean out those gutters- Gutters that are full of debris can lead to the formation of ice dams which can lead to a whole host of issues.

  5. Take care of your lawn one last time- Prune back your plants, weed the flower beds, clear the yard of debris, have someone come out and aerate & overseed to ensure a healthy spring lawn.

  6. Seal cracks around doors/windows- Did you know that air leaks account for 10% of heating bills??

  2. Have your mechanicals serviced- Get your furnace/boiler & water heater serviced to ensure that they work even on the coldest days.
